Hungry 4 Health | A Little About Us

A FEW WORDS ABOUT US

Hungry 4 Health provides nutrition education programs to primary school students. Our program is based on ACARA standards to help teachers reach curriculum requirements. We come to your school and provide sessions that cover a range of nutrition topics in the aim of informing and inspiring young children to make healthy choices.
Hungry 4 Health was founded by a team of qualified and experienced dietitians / nutritionists and educators who are passionate about health and wellbeing.

Our Director, Andisha
, is a qualified dietitian and nutritionist. Her love of food began at a young age, watching her mother and grandmother cook up storms in the kitchen, fusing their Indian and South African heritage. In her early teens she studied Food Technology in The Netherlands, sparking her interest in the relationship between food and health, which led her to become a dietitian.

After more than 10 years of working with patients living with chronic diseases as a clinical dietitian and in the food industry, Andisha recognised the knowledge gap in many peoples’ understanding of nutrition. Knowing that eating behaviours develop early in a child’s life, Andisha has turned her focus to educating and empowering children to make informed decisions about their eating habits, as the awareness of the factors that influence eating behaviours in childhood is needed to improve the dietary patterns and health status of this age group.¹
